MORE ABOUT THIS CAMERA: The Prego 70 is a sophisticated point and shoot film camera with a large number of features released by Rollei in 1999. With a Vario Apogon zoom lens and an active infrared spot autofocus system it has the capacity to take an excellent photo. Its biggest shortcoming is perhaps its limited aperture range of f/4.5 - f/8.5, however this is a range that can produce stunning photos without the background going too much out of focus. Certainly not the camera for someone looking to take school-photography-assignment style portraits with a stupid amount of bokeh, but for everyone else its a great, almost-pocket-sized shooter. It works great on auto mode, and we have always had excellent results shooting the Prego range of cameras on the auto setting. And there are a lot of additional options to play around with too such as multiple flash modes, macro mode, infinity focus mode, focus lock, red-eye reduction, self-timer, viewfinder diopter, interval shooting mode (preset intervals from 10 seconds to 60 minutes), and a panorama switch. And for those who enjoy using datestamps, one of the pleasing things Rollei did with the Prego 70 was to make the date-stamp function standard. Usually with other models you have to seek out a 'Quartzdate' model in order to have a datestamp feature - if there is a datestamp feature available at all - but here it comes standard. On top of this, the Prego 70 also allows you to add caption printing, and there are seven captions to choose from including 'I LOVE YOU' and 'MERRY X-MAS'. So that's fun. Not many film cameras offer something like this. Overall a great camera for a beginner to shoot on auto or for someone more advanced to get use of its abundance of features.
