MORE ABOUT THIS CAMERA: The Leica Mini II was released in 1993 and although Leica is a German brand, this model was manufactured in Japan. It is fairly identical to the 1991 Leica Mini, with a couple of improvements such as red-eye reduction, a +2EV exposure compensation mode, and a continuous shutter release mode (which can fire continuously every 1.5 seconds). Everything else about this camera is much the same as the earlier Mini, including the built-in UVa protection filter which helps give this camera its uniquely natural looking colours in the photos it produces. It also has the same Leica Elmar f/3.5 35mm lens (with active infrared autofocus) which also contributes to the high quality of the photos this plastic-bodied point and shoot can take.
