MORE ABOUT THIS CAMERA: Just a bootleg? No this is a real Ricoh camera made by Ricoh in Taiwan and rebranded as 'Boots' for the British chain-store chemist. The Ricoh equivalent is the Ricoh Auto 35 which was a slightly simplified version of the Ricoh L-20, very similar just without the 1000 ISO setting and without the infinity focus setting. Released in 1991, the C35-FF has a decent 35mm f/4.5 Ricoh lens and manual controls over the flash and ISO settings which can be set at 100, 200 and 400. The shutter speed is locked at 1/125 seconds, so it is quite a simple camera in many respects and somewhat relies on good lighting conditions (or use of the flash) to capture a correctly exposed photo. Overall the C35-FF is a super fun camera for trips and sunny days and delivers a nice balance of somewhat sharp photos without being too sharp and sometimes has some experimental qualities to the photos to surprise with as well.
