MORE ABOUT THIS CAMERA:  The Z-up 90e was launched by Konica in 2002 and was packed with lots of features and some clever design elements. Curiously this model runs off AA batteries, which is one of the things that sets it apart from other cameras in the Z-up range, but does make things a touch more convenient when it comes to finding replacement batteries. The 38-90mm zoom lens provides good scope for the user to achieve the frame they desire whether their subject is close or far away. It performs well with the auto settings, and also offers plenty of other options if you choose to get creative such as infinity focus mode, focus lock, self-timer, night portrait view, and +1.5 EV over-exposure. It also has some handy features built in such as a lens barrier, film check window, and a tripod socket. This model has some smart features too, for example it will automatically turn itself off to save battery if it has sat idle for 3 minutes. It will also lock the shutter to prevent a photo from being taken while the flash is still recharging (even though it only takes about 6 seconds for the flash to reload), and it does this to prevent disappointment from flash-fails at night time. The Z-up 90e is a very reliable point and shoot that takes consistently decent film photos and is a lot of fun for getting creative with.
